BIG NEWS, LADIES AND GERMS…

ROSSON2

Hey everyone! Massive new update here – mostly with a bevy of new shirt designs and some show posters. Also updated the AVILABLE DESIGNS section with a bunch of new stuff, so if you’re just browsing and see a design in that section that you’d like to purchase, shoot me a message and we can work it out! Really enjoying adding to that section – especially since I’m finding there are new avenues of illustrative idiocy that I’ve hardly even tapped yet. The big news here – and I am very excited to announce this – is that I’ve landed a publisher for what will be my debut novel....

CRUCIAL, YO. TOTALLY CRUCIAL.

MARTY

Hey, hey. New stuff up: various show posters and some shirt designs for ADELINE RECORDS. Got some other extra special projects still in the works that are hush-hush right now, but pretty large profile for a guy like me. I'm excited. Meanwhile, my agent's still trying to find a home for SMOKE CITY and I'm well into my next book. It's proving to be a blast to write, if a little nerve-wracking and daunting. But hey, that's what first drafts are alllll about. Also started a studio project with Jeffrey from my old band NECKTIES MAKE ME NERVOUS, and things are going well in that regard as well. As...

TERROR-WISE, WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DOME AND A DROME?

ROYALTY-SHIRT

Hey, everyone- Been a long time without a check-in. But here we are! So, first things first – there’s a ton of new stuff up in the various sections of the site: shirts, records, posters, etc. IMPORTANT: Scattered throughout these sections are images titled AVAILABLE DESIGNS. Said images are, you guessed it, illustrations that are up for grabs – you like it, get in touch and we’ll format it to work with your project. Want it to be a shirt instead of a record cover? Boom. Done. Like the illustration but want the logo changed? No problem. Things are great on the SMOKE CITY front: the novel...

BIG NEWS! STOKED! FILE UNDER: SWEEEEET!

Dark Front Flat

New shirt design for the indomitable La Escalera Records. So there's that. The big news, though? The big news be this: I've got a literary agent. I'm very, very pleased to announce that Christopher Schelling of Selectric Artists Literary Management will be representing my novel Smoke City. I've got a round of edits to do and then Christopher will begin shopping it around to publishers. As you can imagine, I'm pretty stoked. Beyond stoked. Uber-stoked? Something like that. I'll keep you posted at things progress. Meanwhile, if'n you need someone to draw something, I could possibly be your...

WEEPING WINDOWS! UH, CHILLED CHILDREN? HMMM. FALL’S… FALLING?

HRFFPOSTER

Hey, everyone- Thanks for stopping in. And THANK YOU ALL THAT IS HOLY AND GOOD: summer is over. We’re done. Back to normal. Fall is here, and in Portland it’s my favorite time of year. Things are beginning to turn, it’s getting chilly, things like soup and tea and all that rustic, Grizzly Adams shit seem juuuust right. I’m thrilled. I grew up on the coast and have lived most of my life in dismal, rainy weather and it’s not even a matter of acclimation anymore. I LIKE it. You know? NEW STUFF: It’s been a little slow around here. I did, however, finish the promotional illustration...

SUMMER: A SPACE OPERA

SHITTY-COVER

Hiya, everybody- Summer is throwing its last indelicate punches, I hope, and it’s been nearly Midwest-humid here, something I’m less than happy about. We’ve happened upon a few afternoons and early mornings of rain here and even if it’s nearly tropical in temperature, I’ll take it. The novel revision is done. 95,000 words now, massive overhaul of various subplots and characters. Best thing I’ve written. It’s been sent out to the various agents requesting R & Rs. I’m so glad it’s done, and also thrilled to be able to work on other things. In the works: AVOW #26. Don’t...

GREETINGS, AGAIN!

NXNWMOCKUP

Hey everyone- Couple new things up – a shirt for NXNW Records and an untitled album cover for a Stupefying Stories anthology. In the works are a European tour poster for Massenger and the cover illustration and package design for the second volume of the Give Back compilation series, released by 1859 Records. Meanwhile, things are going well with agent interest regarding Smoke City. Though I'm trying my best to remain at work on additional short stories, and (drum roll not required, but it’d certainly be pleasant of you) I’m currently gathering notes and starting preliminary sketches/brainstorming...

THE BOOK? THE BOOK.

Dog Police illustration

Hey, everyone. The book is done. After many drafts and the sneaking insistence that I've lost all subjectivity on the matter, I wrapped it up after it's bajillionth edit. It's titled Smoke City, comes in at 91,000 words, and I'm going to start the process of submitting it to agents soon. It's exciting; if I could utilize the same tenacity I have for getting my fiction rejected to, say, jujitsu or kickboxing, I'd probably be a pretty fearsome dude. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it. Meanwhile, it seems that spring really is springing. Cherry blossoms are blooming, pasty, sun-flinching people...
